Day 01 : Arrival - Cochin
On
your arrival at Cochin you will be greeted by our executive/representative
and transferred to the hotel/resort. The afternoon is for leisure and
relaxation. In the evening you can take a sunset cruise on Backwaters of
the Cochin Harbour, where you have a chance of seeing playful dolphins
horsing around. Over night stay at Cochin.
Day 02 : Cochin
Morning after breakfast, you enjoy a full day city tour covering - Jewish
Synagogue, the 400-year-old synagogue, which is the oldest in the
Commonwealth Countries. The interiors have exquisite hand painted Chinese
tiles and Belgian Chandeliers. St. Francis Church - The first European
church in India, Chinese Fishing Nets - The huge, elegant fishing nets,
The Dutch Palace - built by the Portuguese in 1557and later occupied and
renovated by the Dutch. In the evening rejuvenate your body and mind with
our Complimentary Body Massage.
Over night stay at Cochin.
Day 03 : Cochin - Munnar (127 kms)
Morning after breakfast, drive to Munnar- One of the popular hill
stations in India, which was once the summer resort of the erstwhile
British Government. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding
lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make Munnar a unique experience. On
arrival at Munnar, check in at resort and spent the afternoon at leisure.
In the evening walk along the lush hills with breathtaking scenery of the
tea, coffee and cardamom plantations. Over night stay at Munnar.
Day 04 : Munnar
Morning after breakfast, proceed for a full day local tour of Munnar Hill Station.
Some of the places to visit are: Mattupetty-a specialized dairy farm,
where over 100 varieties of high yielding cattle are reared. The
Mattupetty Lake and Dam is also a very beautiful picnic spot. Devikulam-
an idyllic hill station with its velvet lawns, exotic flora and fauna and
with the cool mountain air is a rare experience. Rajamalai- The natural
habitat of the Niligiri tahr. Half the world's population of the rare
mountain goat or tahr, which is fast becoming extinct, is found here.
Eravikulam National Park- this park is breathtakingly beautiful and is
easily comparable to the best mountain ranges found anywhere in the world.
Over night stay at Munnar.
Day 05 : Munnar - Parambikulam (250 kms)
Morning after breakfast, check out resort and drive to Parambikulam- one
of Kerala's premier wildlife reserves. The Parambikulam Sanctuary is
thickly forested with stands of bamboo, sandalwood, rosewood and teak, the
sanctuary has some marshy land and scattered patches of grassland. On
arrival at Parambikulam, check in at the Forest Rest House, and spent the
afternoon in leisure. Evening you can enjoy a boat ride in the
Parambikulam Lake. Over night stay at Parambikulam.
Day 06 : Parambikulam
Morning after breakfast, proceed for a trip through the Parambikulam
Wildlife Sanctuary, which has the largest population of Gaurs (bison). It
is also a home to elephants, sloth bears, wild boars, sambhars, chital
tigers, panthers, and crocodiles. There are also bonnet macaques,
spectacled cobras, kraits, vipers, turtles, darters, little cormorants,
and black eagles.You can take the tour of this wildlife sanctuary either
by boat or jeep. You can also climb one of Parambikulam's two watchtowers
for a bit of wildlife watching.Over night stay at Parambikulam.
Day 07 : Parambikulam - Nellaimpathy - Palakkad (150 kms)
Morning after breakfast, check out from resort/hotel and drive to
Nellaimpathy. Nellaimpathy a fascinating hill station, at a height of 467
to 1572 m above sea level, comprises a chain of ridges cut off from one
another by valleys of dark evergreen forests in which can be found very
valuable teak of extraordinary height. The main attractions at
Nelliyampathy are Aerial view of the mountain pass, waterfalls, dense
forests and tea gardens. On arrival check in at resort and spend the
afternoon leisurely enjoying the cool climate and the breathtaking natural
scenic beauty. In the evening you could visit the dam situated nearby.
Over night stay at Nelliampathy.
Day 08 : Departure: (Nellaimpathy) Palakkad - Coimbatore (120 kms)
After breakfast in the morning, check out and drive to Coimbatore airport
and proceed for onward journey.
